New Backdrops | September 2016

What do you get when you have creative designers, amazing artists, and passionate clients that all collaborate together? Incredibly unique and beautiful new backdrops. We’ve rounded up a few of our favorites today to show you what we’ve been up to. Check these new backdrops out below and let us know what you think!

Our Ice Castle Twilight backdrop features a beautiful harmonious blend of pastel colors. The gorgeous pink and orange sunset sets the scene for the ice castle. The stunning stars and wispy clouds add a unique romanticism to the sky. The snow-capped mountains provides the perfect background for the majestic ice castle. What an incredible fantastical piece of art and one of our most favored new backdrops.

Our Candyland backdrop is the newest addition to our ever-growing Candyland and Nutcracker inventory. We have so many exciting scenes that are perfect to enhance your next Nutcracker performance. My personal favorites are the Land of Sweets backdrops. There’s something so fun and delicious about them! We’re so excited about this new addition. It features a candy-adorned castle, candy coated mountains, and fudge and lollipops galore! If this doesn’t make you have a sweet tooth, nothing will.

Our Mansion View Drapes backdrop demonstrates the warmth and feeling of home while peering out on the snow filled village outside. The beautiful winter trees are covered with snow and the lights inside the homes are vibrant. The red and gold drapes enhance the elegant look of the mansion interior. Who wouldn’t want to be inside this gorgeous home?

These new backdrops are setting the stage for the Winter season! We’re so excited to see them enhance your next event, performance, or recital! Before & After – Booth Transformation!

We’re so excited to relive this booth transformation that happened at BizBashLA last month. So many people ask us how our backdrops can transform a space. We think pictures do us the best justice. While setting up our booth for BizBashLA, we noticed an exhibitor next to us renting casino tables and all the gambling fixings. What a fun concept! We loved seeing their Casino rentals. However, we knew something was missing from their booth. Check out the before picture of ACE High Casino Rentals booth below:

The tables looks great, right? However, the white background completely takes away from their product when it should be enhancing it. With our extensive inventory, we knew we had the perfect Casino backdrop that would transform their booth. We offered to ship our backdrop overnight to be at the show the very next day. ACE High Casino Rentals was more than welcoming to our suggestion. They were eager to see how our backdrop could enhance their booth. Our backdrop arrived in the morning before the Expo. We quickly hung our Casino backdrop at their booth and it was effortlessly transformed. See the after picture below:

It was so fun to see this booth come to life. The vibrant backdrop complemented the Casino tables perfectly. It enhanced their product and easily conveyed to all of the attendees exactly what they do. For us, we love seeing a transformation like this because we’re able to enhance a fellow exhibitors’ booth and convey their product in the best way possible.

This transformation inspires us to continue to create more backdrops. Ones that will enhance many trade shows, events, recitals, and performances to come! Under the Sea Gala @ NACE Experience

Have you ever planned a themed event & thought about an effortless way to instantly transform your space? Maybe you thought that it didn’t exist? Once you see these images from the Under the Sea themed Awards Gala at NACE Experience in Ft. Lauderdale it may change your mind. This was such a stunning event and we are overjoyed that we could be a part of it!

Our Coral Reef Series adorned the walls of the gala creating a the perfect background for the event. Our underwater backdrops complemented the beautiful décor elements, from the furniture (AFR Furniture Rental) to the linens (Creative Coverings) to the bar (Just Bars) and beyond (Quest Drape). The wonderful Susan Jaffe of Pieces of Dreams Events, Chad Everett from Galaxy Productions , and Jamie Oristano from Just Bars put on this incredible event. The design elements were incredible and theme made the event even that much more fun.

As the night progressed, the lights dimmed and the laser show began in conjunction with the incredible music. It is truly amazing to see how lighting can not only completely alter the mood of the function, but how it can also transform the look of our hand-painted backdrops. We loved witnessing the before and after of how the mood and lighting enhanced this event to the next level.

The Under the Sea theme was perfect as the NACE Experience Gala was held at the Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood, Florida. This resort is on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean with many of the rooms overlooking the expansive, beautiful ocean. It’s an oasis that instantly makes you feel like you’re on vacation. With the ocean so close, the Under the Sea theme couldn’t be more appropriate. This was such a fabulous night and such an incredible event. It was wonderful to be a part of the Awards Gala and to see so many wonderful people in the industry be honored for their talents! We are so excited to see what NACE has in store for next year at NACE Experience in Houston.

We are so excited to share our new backdrops with you. We always have so much fun adding new backdrops to our inventory. This time is no different. These new backdrops are keeping us in the mood for enjoying the summer weather. Beach inspired, a stunning skyline, and a trip to funky town. We’re ready to roll.

Escape to this relaxing Surf City!

Our Pier 3 backdrop is the perfect scene for your summer getaway. This picturesque new backdrop is inspired by Surf City U.S.A. Also known as Huntington Beach, California. This beautiful city is in Orange County, nestled between Los Angeles to the north and San Diego to the south. Home of the U.S. Open, the largest surf competition in the world. Every summer, this competition brings the best surfers in the world to compete on this gorgeous beach. The crashing waves and temperate weather make it the perfect place to vacation.

Stunning San Diego Nights

This San Diego by Night skyline illuminates the sky creating a charming golden overtone. This is the ideal background to enhance your event to a night to always remember. The shining lights from the buildings complement the bright moon. Downtown can often be seen as busy, city life, but is easily translated to a serene scene that can transform any event. This view of this backdrop is painted as if you were on Coronado Island. A beautiful, quaint town perfect for sight seeing. This new backdrop is sure to enhance your event and take it to the next level.

Won’t you let me take you to Funkytown?

Let us take you to Funkytown with this musically vibrant backdrop. The background is a stunning New York skyline with an array of musical instruments in the foreground. The movement within the piano, the gold tone of the saxophone, and the red guitar emanate musical notes in the sky. This new backdrop highlights the seamless combination of the colors of blue, purples, and gold. This is a fun, funky backdrop that is sure to transform your event’s atmosphere.

Backdrops at BizBash Florida!

Last month we had the pleasure of exhibiting at BizBash Florida in Fort Lauderdale. We were so excited to travel to Florida to connect with attendees and other exhibitors. We showcased our gorgeous Garden Gazebo backdrop. This backdrop was painted side by side with our Garden Fountain backdrop. We had such fun connecting with event professionals. We talked all things events – décor, design, planning, & much more. We love discussing unique concepts and developing transformative design ideas to impact future events.

This backdrop was a product of our Custom Rental Service. This service gives you the creativity and ability to Create your Own backdrop to rent! We worked with an Event Planner to develop the concept of two 10′ x 10′ backdrops painted side by side. This makes a beautiful 20′ x 10′ garden scene with the ability to use these backdrops in different ways. You can use them next to each other or in different places at the same event. This can create a cohesive, beautiful look at your next event!

There are so many reasons we love exhibiting at BizBash. One of them is connecting with other amazing exhibitors and our esteemed partners. Quest Drape is an absolutely fabulous company and they provided us with our pipe and base. Pipe and base rental is key when renting a backdrop and Quest Drape has locations nationwide to do so! Quest Drape makes it as easy as possible. They deliver pipe and base directly to the doorstep of your event. It’s so easy to use their pipe and base to effortlessly hang our backdrops! Our backdrops come with grommets along the top and ties to easily fasten the backdrop to the pipe. Our backdrops also have pole pockets along the bottom to easily weigh down the backdrop to minimize wrinkles! We’re already looking forward to the next BizBash in Los Angeles!

Spring Things! New Backdrops

We are so excited for a few reasons. First, it’s Spring and what’s there not to love about Spring? Blooming flowers, beautiful weather, the countdown to summer. Second, our designers and artists have crafted some awesome backdrops during this lovely season. We’re ecstatic to share these with you. We know that these new backdrops will look stunning at your next event. We are looking forward to how these backdrops will enhance your production!

You never know what’s going to come out of the magician’s hat in our brand new Stage Magic backdrop. Abracadabra! The doves, deck of cards, and whimsical smoke appears. Amidst the blue background and illuminated top hat, magic appears. The red drapes lined with gold adorn the stage and the magician’s hands guide the sorcery. Can you spot the two rabbits? After some looking, we definitely can. After all, traditional magic isn’t magic without rabbits coming out of a hat!

Our Pond 3 Bridge backdrop is the perfect Spring scene in a romantic, lush garden. The sun peaking through providing the perfect lighting within the background. This serene pond full of water lilies and surrounded by lush plants and beautiful flowers. The bridge provides the perfect access to walk over the pond into the deep edges of the garden. This new backdrop is completely romantic and utterly gorgeous.

This Stage Skyline backdrop sets the Hollywood style stage with a stunning skyline. When you stand in the center of this new backdrop, the spotlight is directly on you. It’s an easy way to bring the Hollywood life to your next event. All of your attendees will get to live the red carpet life for the night. Act like a celebrity and strut your stuff in front of our vibrant backdrop.

Backdrops at #SafeKidsDay at Smashbox Studios in LA!

We had the privilege of being a sponsor for the #SafeKidsDay event in Los Angeles. This charity fundraiser created by Simply Troy was a star-studded event to raise awareness for Safe Kids Worldwide. Safe Kids Worldwide is, “a global organization dedicated to preventing injuries in children, the number one killer of kids in the United States.” We were honored to provide our hand-painted backdrops for the event.

The basketball event at the #SafeKidsDay Event was SO much fun. Our Spectator backdrop let everyone feel as if they were center stage for their NBA Playoff debut. The stadium is packed and the crowd is cheering! All of the spectators are vying for a picture of their favorite players. The basketball event created an opportunity for all of the attendees to feel like a professional athlete for a day. We love how it turned out.

This City Streets backdrop is not your average street. Think of that favorite part of any neighborhood that makes you smile. The vibrant colors and the animated essence of the backdrop create a fun and playful atmosphere. We loved the look of this backdrop with the colorful accents of the tables and umbrellas. This showed us that you truly can never go wrong with bold colors.

Our Pop Art Duck backdrop provided an instant burst of vibrancy, fun, and playfulness. This backdrop is one of our well-loved masterpieces that was a product of our Custom Rental Service. Our graphic designers and talented artists work directly with our customers to design and create the perfect customized backdrop to rent. It was a pleasure providing our Jungle Animals backdrop for Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventure. Below is our very own Client Services Manager, Donna, with the wonderful Jack Hanna himself! We had such a fun time providing this backdrop for his area. It truly transformed the space and brought the jungle to life!

Overall, it was such an amazing day for an incredible cause. We truly felt honored to be a part of this event. We had so much fun providing the backdrops to enhance the different areas and to transform all of the spaces. New Backdrops – March 2016

We’re excited to showcase our new backdrops for the month of March! Our in-house designers and talented artists have been busy creating beautiful backdrops to add to our rental inventory. Check out these amazing additions below!

This Pop Art Duck backdrop is a prime example of our Custom Rental service. Catering by Design from Denver, CO wanted to a fun backdrop to enhance their duck-themed menu. We discussed their vision for the event, complete with rubber duckies and vibrant signs to replace standard menus. Our designers created this image and Catering by Design absolutely loved it. The pop art theme worked perfectly with the colorful ducks. This backdrop enhanced their event and is now in our inventory ready to be rented for your next occasion!

Our Military Ship backdrop demonstrates the dynamic, larger than life presence of the military in the open ocean. The deep blue sea is depicted with mountainous islands in the background and a prominent military ship in the center. The ripples of the waves from the ship are lining the vessel as it speeds ahead. Ideal for a military event, show, or production.

Shine bright like this diamond backdrop! This hand-painted backdrop is fifty feet wide! That’s a whole lot of diamond. The perspective in which this backdrop is painted makes the diamond appear through the galaxies far, far away. The distant stars in the night are complemented by an array of rainbow colors. This vibrant, shiny backdrop is perfect for your next bling-loving client or event!

Backdrops @ USITT 2016!

We traveled to Salt Lake City to be a part of one of our favorite theater trade shows, USITT. We loved meeting so many students with passionate aspirations and talented theater directors and stage managers. The heartbeat of the theater industry can be felt through the many USITT Sessions and, of course, on the stage expo floor.

For the backdrop showcase, we chose to highlight our Paris Opera House backdrop. It showcases the high-detail and intricate work of our designers and artists. This backdrop is truly a show stopper. We were so excited that our hand-painted backdrop was next to the Electronic Theatre Controls booth. We loved the student session ETC held, which educated those passionate about following their dreams of being in the theater industry. Our Haunted House backdrop was an awesome theatrical background to feature at USITT. We had so much fun with featuring this backdrop. So many of the attendees could not believe that it was hand-painted. It is such an inviting, spooky, and colorful backdrop that instantly caught the eye of onlookers. We loved talking to so many lighting designers that provided such positive feedback on how their techniques could enhance our backdrop. It’s so fun to see how the different color lighting can completely transform the look of the backdrop. With one backdrop, you can create multiple different moods depending on the lighting and what is focused on.

We may have even gotten a little silly in front our our backdrop with OSF Costume Rentals. Check out how fabulous their seriously awesome costumes look in front of our hand-painted background.

It was an amazing experience to be surrounded by the best in the theater industry. We’re already looking forward to next year’s USITT show.
